A day of good deals in Roubaix
A day of good deals in Roubaix!
If Roubaix was once hailed as one of the “wool capitals of the world” - with 300 textile factories up and running at one point - and later claiming fame as the birthplace of Distance Selling with La Redoute, then it’s only fitting that today the northern city embraces its new title of “ the home of good deals”. Head to Roubaix to take advantage of great deals on women’s, men’s and children’s fashion, as well as interior design and home décor. The only downside to your visit will be choosing what to buy !
McArthurGlen, open-air shopping in the city centre
Opened in 1999 in the heart of the city, with direct access via tram and metro, McArthurGlen is an outlet village comprised of 70 shops.
This outdoor shopping centre is a pedestrian-protected street, home to a diverse selection of mid- and high-end brands: American Vintage, Comptoir des Cotonniers, Guy Degrenne, Lacoste, Levi’s, Maje, The Kooples, Vanessa Bruno, Zadig et Voltaire, and many more!
You will also find wonderful sit-down and take-out restaurants, both inside McArthurGlen and in the surrounding city-centre neighbourhood.
Our advice: Extend your shopping excursion with a visit to Roubaix’s nearby city centre. The city carries the label of “City of Art and History”, and you’ll understand why after checking out the magnificent Hôtel de ville or the unforgettable La Piscine museum !

L'Usine Roubaix, a wide selection within an exceptional setting
The first factory outlet centre in Europe, opened in 1984, l’Usine is a true Roubaisien institution. Inside this former textile factory - an impressive castle-like structure built in 1817 and whose 42-metre-high chimney has recently been restored - you’ll find 200 major brands lining the shelves of 85 unique shops: Etam Lingerie, Galeries Lafayette, IKKS, Levis’s, Nike, Okaïdi, Petit Bateau, Promod, and more. You will also find plenty of yummy food options on site.
Our advice: Two tourist attractions are within a stone’s throw of l’Usine: the mythical and historic Roubaix Velodrome (also known as le Stab, a covered velodrome with track initiations for beginners) as well as La Manufacture, Museum of the Living Memory and Creation of Textiles—inspiring and authentic !

100% Zero Waste—a truly Roubasien way of shopping!
Our advice: Cross the street to see the world, with a little gourmet detour to the Carlier-Voggliazzo grocer’s where you can find Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish delicacies.
